Jeeps of the US Army standing on a ruin land near checkpoint Heinrich-Heine-Straße at Moritzplatz in Berlin on 4th September 1962. The Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR were splitted by an 'iron curtain' between west and east from the day of the building of the wall on 13th August 1961 until the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9th November 1989.
