US troop transport arrives in Berlin after trip through Soviet zone

Commander of the Berlin US brigade, Frederick O. Hartel (r), welcoming the US Colonel Thomas Z. Cleary (l) after his arrival in Berlin on 19th September 1962. Cleary and his convoy, coming from the FGR, had to drive through the Soviet zone to relieve the US troops already stationed in Berlin. The journey proceeded without any problems.
