US Americans report on Soviet imprisonment
Légende
In Berlin on 31 December 1953, the two US Americans Homer Cox (right) and Leland Towers (left) report on their time in Soviet imprisonment. After a drinking session in West Berlin, the military policeman Cox woke up in a police station in the Soviet sector the next morning without having an explanation for it. Towers, already a member of the Communist Party in the USA, went to the Soviet Union via Finland "to get to know the paradise of workers" as he stated. Both were taken into custody in Soviet labour camps for several years.
