Conversations with U.S. troops about breaking sound barriers
Légende
In Wiesbaden on 7 February 1957, representatives of the Hessian state government and the city council of Wiesbaden discuss with the U.S. colonel James H. Price (sitting, in uniform) about a possibility to control the breaking of sound barriers by military planes. Window panes broke, old people had heart attacks and the population was generally worried by the loud bang, which arises when the sound barrier is broken.
