The two US soldiers William Young (r) and Luther Woods (2nd of right) on the 7th of April in 1954 in Fulda during a press conference after their detention and release by the Soviets.
They had been arrested by Soviet soldiers during a routine patrol drive along the Bavarian-Thuringian zonal border and had only been released after more than 24 hours and several interrogations.
