A man points at a prohibiting sign written in Russian in Söllingen in the rural district Rastatt on 29 August 1953. The Canadian management of the neighbouring military airfield has put up the signs to keep members of the Soviet military mission from watching the airfield. On the sign it is written: "No thoroughfare! Neither for private nor foreign military missions."
