Italo Balbo meets Hermann Göring at Schorfheide

Hermann Göring (m) with his guest, Italian fascist leader Italo Balbo (l), in front of the hunting lodge at Schorfheide near Berlin in August 1938. Italo Balbo, military organiser of the March on Rome in 1923, held the office on an Marshal and of the general governor of Libya. Balbo was in favor of an Italian policy of neutrality and spoke out against Italy's entry of war at Germany's side in World War II. He was born on the 5th of June in 1896 in Quartesana and died on the 28th of June in 1940 in Tobruk (South Libya).
