Thomas Roehler, olympic javelin throwing champion, throws a test javelin whilst covered with sensors for a 3D test in the testing hall of the Insitute for Applied Training Science (IAT) in Leipzig, Germany, 31 March 2017. The athlete from the German town of Jena carried out a complete performance analysis. He was scanned in 3D, to be able to make a computer model of the athlete. This way, power, acceleration and movements can be recorded more exactly and perhaps improved. Roehler is going straight into competition training. His season will start in Doha on 6 May.
