Montefalco, Complesso Museale di San Francesco, Chiesa di San Francesco, Cappella di S. Gerolamo: affreschi di Benozzo Gozzoli, 1452. Nella volta, i quattro evangelisti. Sulla parete in alto, Cristo crocifisso tra San Domenico, S. Francesco, S. Romualdo e S. Silvestro. Al centro finto polittico con Madonna con Bambino, S. Antonio da Padova, S. Girolamo, S. Giovanni e S. Ludovico da Tolosa. A sinistra S. Girolamo lascia Roma; a destra S. Girolamo toglie la spina dalla zampa del leone.

Montefalco, Museum of St. Francis, Church of St. Francis, Chapel of St. Jerome: frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli, 1452. In the vault, the four evangelists. On the upper wall, Christ crucified between St. Dominic, St. Francis, St. Romuald and St. Silvester. At the centre a fake polyptych with the Virgin Mary and Child, S. Anthony of Padua , St. Jerome, St. John and St. Louis of Toulouse. On the left, St. Jerome leaves Rome; on the right St. Jerome takes the thorn from the lion's paw.
