Montepulciano, church of St. Augustine: detail of the portal with the lunette with the terracotta relief of the “Madonna and Saints John the Baptist and Augustine”, by, Michelozzo di Bartolomeo, 1427.
Founded in 1285, the church was completely renovated in the 15th century, with the intervention of Michelozzo di Bartolomeo for the construction of the lower part of the facade, punctuated by fluted pilasters, surmounted by niches that frame the portal.
