Exterior of the Old Toll Gate, Dulwich, London. The rates are displayed on a board placed outside the toll house, whilst the gate itself can be seen to the far left of the photograph. Established in 1789, it was taken over in 1809 by Dulwich College, which continues to charge tolls to maintain the private road.
