Hellfire Corner tunnels, Dover Castle, Kent, 1995. Dover Castle continued to be a strategic military site into the 20th century. Tunnels beneath the Castle dating from the Napoleonic War were reused and extended to provide a secure headquarters. This tunnel in the Annexe Level served as a hospital.
