Royal Festival Hall, Belvedere Road, South Bank, Lambeth, London, c1951-1962. The Royal Festival Hall, seen here looking south from Waterloo Bridge, was designed by Sir Robert Matthew and Leslie Martin and Peter Moro. It was built in 1949-1951 as a concert hall for the Festival of Britain. The Shot Tower, which is still standing here, was demolished after the Festival of Britain to make way for the building of the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
