A youth's brown leather jerkin, c1555-c1565. It is ornamented with bands of scored lines containing punched hearts or star motifs, and slashed diamonds on the neck sections. The molded pewter buttons imitate the more expensive wooden versions which were ornamented with worked silk or gilt thread.
