Légende
Earliest known map of Roman London, 1722. Plan of the City of London, the Thames, and surrounding fields. Stukely, a keen antiquarian, has included features of the London he knew, together with what he believed existed during the Roman period. Thus we see St Paul's Cathedral and the Temple of Diana together. Also shown are a road used by the Roman army, the Via Militaris, right; the London Stone; Billingsgate; and the Stock Market.
