A market stall in Caledonian Market, Islington, London, 1930s. A woman in a beret gazes intently at the stall in front of her. Three market traders sit behind their stalls, all wearing wide brimmed straw hats. This is probably the old Caledonian Market, situated in Islington. It moved in the late 1940s to a site in Bermondsey, and was renamed Bermondsey Market or the New Caledonian Market.
