Tubby Isaacs' cockels and mussels stall was first established in 1919. The pub on the corner has a lantern outside advertising the brewery Barclay, which was owned by the same family that own Barclay's Bank. They were one of London's most famous breweries, and merged with the brewery Courage in 1955.
