Four suffragettes speaking opposite the Empire Theatre, Liverpool, 1908. Patricia Woodlock, standing in front of the Liscard WSPU banner, was described by the Liverpool Courier as a 'Liverpool girl, refined, tender-hearted and heroic'. That summer, Bessie K Morris, who was the secretary of the Liverpool WSPU, organised 'At Homes' and meetings on the sands in Southport. The Men's League for Women's Suffrage also had a branch in Liverpool.
