Costume of a persuivant, after 1816. The costume worn by an attendant at the coronation of King George IV in 1821. The tabard is made of cloth of silver satin, silk damask, and is embroidered with the royal arms of Hanover. A pursuivant is an officer of the College of Arms, ranking below a herald.
