Légende

A De Dion tricycle. A man riding the tricycle, pulling his wife, daughter and dog in a seat behind him. The De Dion tricycle was the invention of Count De Dion, who was a leading figure in early automobile circles. In 1893 he co-founded the De Dion, Bouton et Trepardoux Company, which in 1894 became De Dion-Bouton after the departure of Trepardoux. In 1895 Bouton devised a new kind of engine which was capable of 2000rpm. This was mounted in the tricycle and proved extremely popular.
