Interior of the Argyll car factory, Glasgow, c1899-c1930. Scotland's best-known car manufacturer produced a wide range of models. They were early pioneers of front wheel braking and were at one time the biggest manufacturer in Europe. The company had gone out of business by 1930, but the factory building still stands today.
