Ford GT-40, c1966-c1969. The GT-40 was designed specifically to win the Le Mans 24 Hour Race. The Mark II proved successful, with 1-2-3 victories at Le Mans and Daytona in 1966, and the GT-40 continued to win at Le Mans for the next three years. This car, number 1103 was the last of seven de-tuned MkIII versions, built by JWA Engineering in association with Ford, for road use. The number '40' in the car's name refers to its height of 40 inches.
