Graham Hill watches Mechanics working on a car, French Grand Prix, Rouen, 1968. Hill retired after 14 laps of the race with a driveshaft failure, but with three other victories that season, he secured his second World Championship. The French Grand Prix was won by Jacky Ickx in a Ferrari, but was marred by the death of the French driver Jo Schlesser, whose car caught fire after crashing.
