The woman on the left is wearing a plain grey dress trimmed with red around the edge of the full skirt, skirt panels and the sleeves of the fitted matching jacket. The woman on the right is wearing a similiar shaped dress with a full skirt and tight bodice, but with a tartan style design featuring on the skirt and bodice. The girl in the background is wearing a miniature version of the adult dress.
