Restormel Castle, 14th century, (c1960s). Reconstruction drawing showing the courtyard, gatehouse and steps up to the wall walk, as they may have appeared c.1300. One of the four chief Norman castles of Cornwall, the others being Launceston, Tintagel and Trematon. The castle is notable for its perfectly circular design.
