Reconstruction drawing of Sewingshields Milecastle.The Sewingshields site includes a section of Hadrian's Wall running along the crest of Sewingshields Crag near Simonburn. This section of the Wall was built around AD 122 and incorporates Milecastle 35, which is sited in an impressive location on Whin Sill.
