The Severn Railway Bridge, Sharpness, Gloucestershire, from the south, 1951. The Gluucester-Sharpness canal is in the foreground, crossed by a swing bridge. The railway bridge was built in the 1870s to bring coal from the Forest of Dean to Sharpness Docks. It was badly damaged by collisions and was demolished in the 1960s.
