Ice pail showing the Battle of Salamanca, Spain, 1812 (1817-1819). Item in Apsley House, London, from the Wellington Museum. Part of a dinner service which was given as a gift from the King of Prussia to the Duke of Wellington in 1819. Items of the Prussian Service show scenes of events in Wellington's life, in this case his victory over the French at Salamanca (22 July 1812) in the Peninsular War.
