Spire of the ruined St Michael's Cathedral Church, Coventry, West Midlands, c1955-c1980. view from inside the ruins, possibly from the southern aisle, looking west with the top of the Holy Trinity Church spire in the background. The external walls are standing, with the crennellated pinnacles separating each bay of the aisle standing. Inside the church are low portions of the internal columns. The church was one of the largest medieval parish churches and was made a cathedral in 1918. The damage was caused by a German air rain in November 1940. Originally built in the 12th century, Holy Trinity Church was restored between 1666 and 1669.
