'St Austell', 1860. A scene on the Cornwall Railway, later part of the Great Western Railway (GWR) at St Austell, showing one of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's (1806-1859) timber viaducts. Built from Kyanzed yellow Baltic pine from Memel, the timberwork had a life of 30 years. Illustration after RT Pentreath for Views of Devonshire and Cornwall by Henry Besley. (Exeter c1860).
