Celadon dish with moulded tree and incised scrolls, Yuan-Ming dynasty, China, 14th century. A Zhejiang celadon deep dish with an unusual rim. The centre has a moulded peony tree and the cavetto has an incised scroll decoration. The exterior has a similar incised scroll between incised borders and lotus leaf tips with combed centres. The round base has an unglazed ring. The whole piece is covered with an even yellowish green celadon glaze.
