Set of four graduated wine cups on coral ground, late Kangxi period, Qing dynasty, China, 1700-1722. A set of four small wine cups of different sizes made to fit together one inside the other. The cups are decorated on the exterior with various combinations of narcissus, chrysanthemum, butterflies, pines, birds, prunus and rocks in underglaze blue. The ground is glazed with a powdered coral-red overglaze.
