Steatite pouring bowl with dragon head handle, Tang dynasty, China, c618-c906. Blue-grey slate-like steatite pouring bowl of plain circular shape with a long angular spout of typical metal shape. At right angles to the spout is a dragon's head extending from the body, which probably originally held a wooden handle extension.
