Jade double-gourd pendant with two phoenixes, late Tang, Five dynasties or early Liao dynasty, China, 845-960. A double gourd shaped jade pierced for suspension (probably a balancing weight) decorated on the bottom half with two dragon-headed stylised feathery tails phoenixes. The top half has stylised flower heads. The jade is of red veined grey colour.
