Brown lead glazed modelled bird of prey, Eastern Han dynasty, 20-220. An interestingly modelled bird of prey standing with raised crested head with prominent ruff. The crest and ruff are accentuated with yellowish white slip underglaze, the bird is covered overall with a brown lead glaze. The body is of brick-red coloured clay.
