Unglazed pottery figure of a singer, Eastern Han dynasty, China, 25-220 AD. Large moulded unglazed reddish pottery squatting figure of Sichuan type, probably a singer. The figure is wearing a long loose robe with voluminous arms and an unusual winged hat with one hand resting on the left cheek in a contemplative pose. Some traces of pigment remain.
