Bowl with foliated dragon decoration, Ming dynasty, Jingtai period, China, 1450-1457. A blue and white bowl with small protruding square lip. The bowl is decorated in the interior with a central medallion of foliated dragon with floral spray issuing from its mouth and four equi-distantly placed groups of flowers and leaves in the cavetto. The exterior has two similar feathered foliated dragons.
