Pair of blue and white saucers with frogs, Ming dynasty, China, 1560-1580. Saucers with flat rims. The centres are painted with a crouching frog on stones beneath tree and moon with a butterfly and dragonfly. The cavettos have a border of formal pendants and cloud collars. The exteriors have fruiting zig-zag peach branches.
