Légende
Gilt bronze Lama of the Yellow Hat sect, Tibet, 18th century. A gilt bronze Lama seated on a lotus petal base that extends two thirds of the way around the figure. The Lama is wearing the high pointed cap of the Yellow Hat sect, his hands are held together before him in the position to confer blessings. This figure probably represents the Lama Tsong Khapa - believed to be the third incarnation of Manjusri and regarded as the founder of the Geluk Order (Yellow Hat sect).
