Légende
Celadon bowl, Yuan dynasty, Fujian province, China, 1279-1368. A greyish celadon bowl of shallow flat-bottomed shape, the sides rounded angled and everted towards the lip. The interior is decorated in the centre with a stamped chrysanthemum floral spray, the centre of which is cross-hatched. The lip has two incised cursive floral sprays above one incised line. The decoration is all under a greyish-green celadon glaze which is crackled extensively. The exterior is glazed but undecorated, the glaze covers most of the square profiled foot. The base is without glaze and shows the grey clay body.
