Rectangular ivory panel with figures by a table, Kangxi period, Qing dynasty, China, 1662-1722. A rectangular ivory panel of two figures in high relief on a balustraded terrace. One of the figures is seated cross legged on a Ming type chair holding a small wine cup by a Ming type table on which a wine ewer and tray are positioned. The other figure, of 'long Eliza' type, is shown gesturing and in conversation with the seated man. There is a moon gate to one side with curling wave decoration.
