Ivory gambling counter, Qing dynasty, China, 18th century. An ivory gambling counter in the shape of an open section of bamboo. The interior is carved with lotus spray, lizard and two frogs in relief. On the back are two birds, insect and bamboo leaves in relief. There has been a later piercing to make it into a toggle.
