Cuillins from Elgol at Sunset, Skye, Scotland, 20th century. Elgol is a village on the shores of Loch Scavaig on the Strathaird peninsula in the Isle of Skye. A viewpoint for the Cuillin, a range of rocky mountains. The Battle of Coire Na Creiche was fought on the slopes below Bruach na Frithe in 1601. It was the last Scottish clan battle fought on Skye.
