Dunvegan Castle from the seaward side, Isle of Skye, Scotland, 20th century. Seat of the Clan MacLeod, Dunvegan Castle was constructed within a curtain wall by Malcolm MacLeod in about 1350. It is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and has been the stronghold of the chiefs of the clan for more than 800 years.
