Longships Lighthouse and the Armed Knight, Lands End, Cornwall, 20th century. Land's End is a headland and the most westerly point of mainland Cornwall and England with granite dating to the Permian period, 268-275 million years old. Longships Lighthouse stands on Carn Bras, the highest of the Longships islets and has been unmanned since 1988.
