Tutankhamun wearing the Blue Crown, 14th century BC. Tutankhamun (reigned 1333-1323 BC) was a pharaoh of the Ancient Egyptian 18th Dynasty. His tomb in the Valley of the Kings was famously discovered, with its contents intact, by the British archaeologist Howard Carter in 1922.
