Curtiss Biplane, 20th century. Designed by American aviation pioneer Glenn Curtiss (1878-1930), the Curtiss Biplane set several records in 1909. It won the Gordon Bennett Trophy at Reims, covering a distance of 30 kilometres in 23 minutes. French postcard.
