Légende
The Duke of York's Column, London, 19th century. The 124-ft monument, at Waterloo Place, Carlton House Terrace, was erected in 1833 to the glory of Frederick, second son of King George III and Commander-in-Chief of the British Army during the Napoleonic Wars. The 'Grand Old Duke of York' supposedly marched his 10,000 men to the top of the hill and marched them down again.
