Constance Collier in Ben Hur, c1902. British film actress and acting coach Constance Collier (1878-1955) in the role of the temptress, Iras. At the time, Collier was also starring as Calypso in Ulysses at His Majesty's Theatre down the road. She had to run between the theatres and perform lightning costume changes.
