Letter from Albert, Prince Consort to Anthony Ashley Cooper, 13th April 1856. Letter written from Buckingham Palace by Prince Albert to Anthony Ashley Cooper, Earl of Shaftesbury, thanking him for a copy of the Bible in Chinese, prepared for the London Missionary Society and known as the Delegates' Version, published in Shanghai and Hong Kong in 1855. From the fourth series of Facsimiles of royal, historical, literary and other autographs in the Department of Manuscripts, British Museum: Series I - V, (London, 1899).
